Sustainability

We have a mission at bXterra − to provide continuous product innovation, greener solutions and new technologies at the highest-quality standards. Our GreenTech™ and ENERGY STAR® certified backup systems allow consumers to make an environmentally-conscious choice when purchasing a UPS system. As we strive for operational efficiency at our high-capacity manufacturing facilities, we ensure our products are built with the highest-efficiency fabrication standards.

At bXterra, we want you to know that you’re not only protecting your devices and equipment when purchasing our products, but you’re reducing your footprint as well. Aside from being ENERGY STAR® compliant, we are committed to and supporters of the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive, which strictly limits the use of six hazardous materials (lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE)) in electrical equipment.

If all uninterruptible power supplies sold in the United States meet the ENERGY STAR® requirements, the energy cost savings will grow to $471 million and prevent greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to the emissions from more than 636,000 vehicles.

We’ve incorporated cutting-edge technologies into our products to ensure our customers power their businesses and homes safely and reliably. The LCD screens on all our products turn off after a short time period, saving power and minimizing energy waste. The Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) function of our line-interactive systems correct erratic voltage levels to safe levels without having to switch to battery, thereby extending battery life. Our power management products are the driving force behind the delivery of innovative and energy-saving solutions for customers across corporate, business and home office markets.
